Will you pray?
Will you pray for my RCIA group? I truly love this ministry and I doubt there are few as rewarding. But conversion can be difficult and frankly, sometimes quite messy. There can be a lot of struggles. Family issues, marriage issues and a real grappling with the truth and coming to terms with it. In many ways it’s beautiful to watch it all unfold and we (the RCIA team) try our best to help them through the process but sometimes all we can do is pray.
Right now there’s a mix of nine candidates and catechumen who really could use your prayers. They are all at various stages of the journey (well, aren’t we all?). Some have some pretty big hurdles to overcome. Some are feeling attacked and some, well, they just need the prayers of the body of Christ.
In fact, don’t just pray for my group - pray for all of them . . all over the world. There are thousands and they all need our prayers.
I know I can count on you. Thanks.

Oct 25, 2007 - 04:10:28Will light a candle for you and your group tonight!! Also praying for the masses throughout the world, thanks for asking this of us Michele!
As a convert I have very fond memories of my RCIA experience. I will pray for your group and all RCIA groups. It is a truly wonderful ministry!!!
I also have memories of going through RCIA.
Keeping all those in RCIA and those, like yourself, teaching who are teaching RCIA in my prayers. You are such a wonderful person, Michele, to ask this.
I will keep the group in my prayers - as a convert, I know the importance of your ministry!
You bet we will! DH is running RCIA in our parish and I’m helping a bit too. We’re also doing CCD — I’m doing Sac Prep for FR/FHC and am running into many of the same issues……
So, I’ll pray for you if you pray for us ……
Will pray for the group - also, if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I can’t be a regular, but if there’s something you think I can help with, I am more than willing. Our parish is lucky to have such an awesome RCIA team!
Praying, Michelle!
sorry for the extra ‘l’
Prayers for all of you, Michele. I used to be on our local team, and it’s a beautiful, albeit emotional and sometimes difficult, experience. God be with you all!
