“For this meme, each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.”
Hmmm. . . I think this is going to be hard - it may take me all day to come up with eight.
1. I’m a water snob. We have a 5 stage RO system at home and I have become very accustomed to the taste of our water. I drink water elsewhere but I hate it. The only thing that comes close in bottled water is Dasani. I can tell if my filters need changed right away by taste and the color of my tea.
2. My name is spelled with only one l but a lot of people don’t notice or forget and spell it with 2 l’s anyway - I try not to take it personally. :-). Further, no one in my immediate family even calls me Michele. My mom, dad and sisters all call me Shellie and my husband’s family all call me Shel.
3. I really do like to cook but I really dislike making dinner.
4. I am closer in age to my oldest two sons than they are to their youngest sibling and I have been a mother for more than half my life.
5. As a child I wanted to be an airline stewardess. Ironically I now dislike flying and avoid it if I can.
6. I am pretty sure I have scared people away from Catholicism with my overzealousness . . .I’ve tried to tone it down in recent years.
7. I love Ghirardelli chocolate and I eat it (just a few squares) every day!
8. It’s 2:50 in the morning and I am still up - I don’t know why.
OK I tag Elizabeth, Kathryn, Cay, Jenn, Mary Chris, Beth, Heather & Amy
and if you’ve already done this one. . .humor me. ![]()

Thanks for the tag Michele! It is interesting to see what people decide to share. You make me want to each chocolate everyday too! I love Ghirardelli. Glad you are back and made it through the trip. I have always admired how you are able to just pick up and go with the baby.

Hi, Michele– it was fun meeting you at the conference! I love your blog! I grew up seventh of ten kids… I can relate. And I also don’t like to fly. Now I wish I had spent more time at your table. There were so many tables I never had time to get to, just because of the place they were located.
Who’s the one in fatigues?

I really like this meme because I’m learning so much about all of you…things that you don’t write about in your blogs. The #4 was especially interesting! I wonder how many more Moms could say that!
Blessings to you, Michele!

#4 sounds like a math word problem to be solved!
My 8 Things.

So can you figure it out?
I was 18 and 19 when my oldest two were born but they were 20 and 21 when their little sister was born.
My oldest son was 19 when his youngest brother (now about to turn 3) was born so he actually is farther from two of his siblings than from me his mother.
As for me being a mom more than half my life, I was 18 when my first was born and I’ll be 40 next month.

Forgive me for not stopping by sooner to comment; I read this the first day you posted it and thought, “8 more reasons to love Michele!”
Oh, and one more fact about myself: I am very visual and very particular. Now that I know your name is Michele with one “l” I will never forget it!
Give my love to your family and tell Timothy that the boys are still talking about him.
