Sunday Afternoon

Wow what a week! After all the conference excitement it turns out we contracted a stomach virus and have spent the week battling it. The littlest children seem to be hit the hardest but no one has vomited yet today so things are definitely looking up. :-)
I am still not feeling up to par. Nausea comes and goes but since I am still only 12 weeks along it’s difficult to know what’s normal, what’s the virus and what’s just exhaustion from caring for sick children. I need to feel better - there’s just too much to do and June is looming large on the horizon.

I am looking forward to the summer though. We’ll be finished our formal school year soon and we’ll be heading to the local swimming pool most afternoons for fun and relaxation. Most of our homeschooled friends are also members there so it’ll be great to hang out with the other families.

I also have a few books I plan to dive into this summer. On my list are:

The Privilege of Being a Woman by Alice Von Hildebrand
and
Transformation in Christ: On the Christian Attitude by Dietrich Von Hildebrand

And I might throw a Michael O’Brien novel in there somewhere. I haven’t read the most recent ones yet.

Hi Michele,

Some day I hope to actually meet you! I used to live in Manheim, PA….but that was in 1981-1983. Maybe some day we’ll get back for your conference.

I started a project this week to help those homeschoolers new to blogging. Would you consider contributing to “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Homeschool Bloggers”? I have the details on my blog.

Thanks for your consideration.
