What a lovely idea. I’m joining in.
FOR TODAY
Outside my Window. . . blue skies, low humidity and a light breeze A lovely day. The temp is in the mid 80’s but it feels quite comfortable. It’s just so nice to have the windows open instead of the A/C on.
I am thinking. . . that it’s time for the baby’s nap! She is teething and quite grumpy. She goes down about 11:00 every day and will sleep until 1 or 2:00
I am thankful for. . . a good blood glucose number this morning for Maggie. So often lately she is low but this morning was 93 —that’s a great number. Let’s hope it’s a trend for the day!
From the kitchen. . .coffee and bagels with cream cheese. Leftover from yesterday’s Father’s Day extravaganza breakfast.
I am creating. . . planners, lessons plans, templates. It’s prime planner season here so that’s top priority. I’m also working on Mater Amabilis and updating my website and blogs.
I am going. . . clothes shopping for 15 yr. old son, UPS, post office, pool. Not necessarily in that order.
I am wearing. . . my favorite jean skirt, red tee, leather sandals and brightly painted toenails. Hair is brushed but I don’t have makeup on. It’s summer so I pretty much only wear mascara anyway.
I am reading. . .
- - Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Craft of Catechesis
- - A Civilization of Love: What Every Catholic Can Do to Transform the World
- - The New Glucose Revolution for Diabetes: The Definitive Guide to Managing Diabetes
and Prediabetes Using the Glycemic Index - - Digital Wedding Photography: Capturing Beautiful Memories
I am hoping. . . to be sewing this evening. I have several projects I have been wanting to get finished. And I need some well fitting tops and skirts.
I am hearing. . . the distant sound of a saw, the kids chatting in the kitchen and trash trucks rumbling by.
Around the house. . . looking for the ever elusive binky (so the baby can take that nap!) Getting ready to give an insulin shot. Filling planner orders.
One of my favorite things. . . the laughter of my children enjoying one another’s company.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week. . . paperwork, orders, sewing, wallpapering and of course, the pool.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you. . .
Needles in the safety container they go in after use. They represent 6 weeks of life for Maggie.

Good Morning, Michele! It’s nice to see you participating in TSWD as well; Peggy has begun such a beautiful idea, hasn’t she?
I have sewing to get started on as well; school planning just seems to be sucking up all the spare time I can carve out right now, though. Hope you get to yours!
Thanks for having us in for a visit today, and I hope you have a lovely week!
God Bless,
Shani

Hi Elizabeth,
My last name is Quigley as well. You’re right it’s not very common.
I believe you ordered a planner from me recently.

Hi Michelle,
I will pray for Maggie and the rest of your family. I bless you and your family with the blessing of the Blessed Mother. May the Holy Spirit come upon you. Glad to hear that your daughter’s sugar is doing so well. I will continue to remember her in my prayers.

Hey Michele - the sharps container looks familiar - I also used a BD little tool to snip the ends off the syringes since it always freaked me a bit to see those sharp instruments. And, another book I heard was good is “Think Like a Pancreas: A Practical Guide to Managing Diabetes with Insulin” - I ended up not going through because my insulin was limited to while I was pregnant. And, your daughter continues to be in my prayers - God bless you and keep you.
