Simple Woman’s Daybook for July 21st
Don’t forget to stop by Peggy’s for all the links entered in this week’s Simple Woman’s Daybook.

Outside my window… gosh it’s hot. Well, the temperature actually isn’t terribly high today but the humidity is. I am getting so tired of being sticky and sweaty. Another month and it should cool off, hopefully . . .
I am thinking… of a million things. The conference is five days away and the wedding is 11 days away. MUCH to do!
I am thankful for… my health. Really, I could not do all this if I was sick.
From the kitchen… tuna salad on toast and iced tea.
I am creating… nothing. I have loads of ideas in my head and no time to implement them at the moment.
I am going… to the dairy for my weekly milk run. I have been getting milk from a local dairy. They sell hormone free milk and it’s $1 less than milk in the grocery store (milk prices are regulated in PA so there’s a minimum that stores can sell it at). I buy seven gallons at a time and line them across the back of my refrigerator. The milk comes in bags so they line up nicely and take up less room than gallon jugs. I pay $2.90/gallon for 2% milk and we use a gallon a day (that’s rationing it –they’d drink more if I let them!)
I am wearing… grey shorts, a tan tee and tan crocs. Work clothes.
I am reading… nothing at the moment –too busy.
I am hoping… to get everything done that needs to be done and not to stress about the rest.
I am hearing… Kyle sandpapering the wall, various chatter as we finish up lunch.
Around the house… we’re prepping the dining room for painting and I’m wallpapering the wall in the living room that needed it since Dec. when my dear husband painted the rest of the room for me.
One of my favorite things… being able to tick an item off my list. I did that this morning. Ahhh, feels so good!
A few plans for the rest of the week… Hmm let’s see. Finish sewing the girls dresses, shop, make copies, stuff folders. OK you really don’t want to know what my plans are and I really don’t want to type them all out.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

Jul 21, 2008 - 04:07:37Awesome price on the milk. Last week I was able to find 3 gallons of 1% marked down to $1/gallon at a local grocer. I scooped up 3 gallons and froze 2. We don’t comsume a lot of milk…maybe a gallon or so per week!
Praying for you and your family as you journey through the next 2 weeks. Peace & Blessings!
awww, that picture is too cute!
remember, if you need anything for the conference that you’re willing to let go of, let me know.
I hope the painting etc goes well. We’re in the same boat and we’ve been doing up our house gradually too and it looks way better than it did originally
If I lived closer, I would be happy to help you. Good luck with your conference. I will pray that all goes well.
It won’t be long now, sweet friend! I pray that all is well on your end…prayers for safe travel…and God’s blessing on us all.
See you soon!
