Robbing the cradle
. . . my husband that is. Well not really. He’s only about a month and a half older than me and we both are turning 39 soon. He teases me about it all the time but today I got him back without even trying. I was shopping at Staples this afternoon when an older gentleman stopped me and asked if I was a member of St. Mary’s parish. I said I was and he asked if that family he always sees me with is mine. I said it was and that the oldest was a seminarian. “Oh” he said, “that’s your brother isn’t it?” “No” I replied “That’s my son.” He didn’t believe me! He insisted I couldn’t possibly have a son that age because I was clearly not old enough. HA HA HA HA!!! I assured him that I was indeed old enough but thanked him for making my day. ![]()
And then I went home and told my husband! So who’s old now baby!? Huh, huh??
Awwwww. . . I love ya!

Oh, you lucky people with those young genes. How I wish I didn’t look 40. : /
Well now Cay I seem to remember your doctor told you that you had the body of a teenager. THAT I most definately DO NOT have. I may look young but I certainly have a “mom” body!
You definitely look young from your picture! No matter what age you are, you are beautiful!
Love that story………wait until you have grandchildren. I’m 47 and have 2 natural granddaughters. I had my oldest daughter when I was 22 and she did the same. I’ll miss the “I can’t believe you’re a Grandma!”…because some day they WILL believe it!!!! Helps when you tote around younger kids of your own and they treat their neices like sibs. The generations really blur.
“Well now Cay I seem to remember your doctor told you that you had the body of a teenager.”
Good, grief! You have a good memory. Argh!
That body went south years ago. LOL ; )
Having met you in person, I would agree–you do look too young to have a son in the seminary! A brother in the seminary, maybe, but not a son!
