Papal Prayer Intentions for October 2008

General:That the Synod of Bishops may help bishops and theologians as well as catechists and pastoral workers engaged in the service of the Word of God transmit with courage the truth of the faith in communion with the entire Church.

Missionary:That in this month dedicated to the missions, through the promotional activities of the Pontifical Missionary Works and other organisms, the Christian may feel the need to participate in the Church’s universal mission with prayer, sacrifice and concrete help.

Morning Tea

Brrr! It’s 18 °F / -8 °C here this morning! Yes, I know it’s winter but it really has not been very cold at all this year so these temperatures feel very cold indeed. Ah, but there’s nothing like a sweet little nursing 6 week old to keep you toasty warm . . .and of course, morning tea. Mia and I are up early this morning and it’s still quite dark outside. We’re enjoying the quiet. Quiet that can be hard to come by once 2 yr. old Matthew and 5 yr. old Peter wake up. Don’t get me wrong, they are positively precious, but those two can make some noise and do they ever! Looking at the time I have probably an hour or less until they wake up so I think I’ll brew another cup of tea and read some e-mails while I snuggle up to my little angel baby.
