". . . when we say that the Church is a family, we mean it quite literally. The Church is not a reflection of the reality that is "family"—quite the opposite. The family is a reflection of the reality that is the Church." -Fr. Robert Johansen

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you had a beautiful day —I sure did. I woke to a sumptuous breakfast and many sweet and smiling faces. From the carnations to the Ghirardelli brownie it was a lovely day all around.

I haven’t been sewing much lately. Things have been rather topsy turvey here as my sweet little 8 yr. old has been sick —very sick. Last Sunday we rushed her to the emergency room where it was discovered that she has Type I Diabtetes. We spent two days at Hershey Medical Center and the rest of the past week helping her to get well and acclimated to the new “normal”. She’s doing well and we are all feeling much better.

Not surprisingly that apron I was making is still sitting on my sewing table. But it only needs a few more seams to be finished and since tomorrow is National (and International) Wear an Apron Day, I’m hoping to get it finished in the morning. I’ll post a picture if I do.
