Feeling a little sheepish

Upon reflection I have to say I feel a bit embarrassed by my previous post. $80 for a handbag for me really isn’t very family-centered is it? It’s actually pretty “me” centered and that’s not where I want to be.

And then guess what I got yesterday afternoon?

This BEAUTIFUL bag–handmade by my 7yr. old dd!

Isn’t it fabulous! Who needs an $80 Vera Bradley bag when you have this little beauty? Not me!

How beautiful!!! She did a wonderful job. I think we all can get “me” centered at times. I am grateful for a God who helps us to focus on what is important even when we temporarily lose our vision. Thank you for sharing. It is a reminder to keep my own family-centered focus.

Very impressive! Nothing like the kids to remind you about what is really important! She must have had a pretty good teacher to make a fancy bag like that (and she kept the pattern straight….very tough).

So pretty! And the bag is lovely too. Does she take special orders yet? Really, great job, way better than anything I could do.

The print of your new bag is so pretty and versatile, too. A handmade treasure like that is much more valuable than a Vera Bradley. You are lucky mom!
