Dreamer

Hat tip to Willa for this personality test link.

I always wonder if this sort of thing is too self focused but I can see how knowing myself better has been helpful in my life. For example I am not naturally organized (just ask my mom what my room looked like as a child!) but understanding more about how I think has helped me to be better organized as an adult. Not that I always am —but I know how to be when the mood strikes me. :-) I’m joking! Sort of. . .

Anywho.

I was surprised by the accuracy of this. I wouldn’t call myself introverted or extroverted but really more balanced between the two as my results show. I love being with people have having fun but it also can drain me and I like down time. . . but not too much.

Here’s lots more fun and interesting info. on this personality type:

They are on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through the INFP’s value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help the INFP define or refine their own path in life.” - Portrait of an INFP (The Personality Page)

I’m an INTP who sometimes comes out as an INFP. I think you are right, Michele — knowing your natural type helps you work out areas where you could learn some extra skills, and it keeps you from beating yourself up for not being like the more organized mom next door (or whatever)

I can wander through the day in a perceptual/intuitional haze but sometimes my kids need me to be sensory-oriented and be able to make quick decisions. Not my strength, so I consciously work on those areas and it brings a new richness.
