Divine Mercy - did you finish the novena?
Did you even start it? Did you start it late? You can still do it!
Do a one day novena by saying the prayers for nine hours:
Hour 1 - All mankind, especially sinners
Hour 2 - The souls of priests and religious
Hour 3 - All devout and faithful souls
Hour 4 - Those who do not believe in Jesus and those who do not yet know Him
Hour 5 - The souls of separated brethren
Hour 6 - The meek and humble souls and the souls of children
Hour 7 - The souls who especially venerate and glorify Jesus’ mercy
Hour 8 - The souls who are detained in purgatory;
Hour 9 - The souls who have become lukewarm.
Remember, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy may also be said for each prayer intention, but is not strictly necessary to the Novena.
If you can’t manage nine hours then just say all nine prayers in a row (Mother Teresa used to call that an emergency novena). For example you might say the prayers and then finish with the chaplet.
If you wish you had done better resolve to for next year but pray today anyway, knowing that Our Lord understands your intention and no prayer is ever wasted!
