Could you do me a HUGE favor? If you are planning to attend the 2009 Family-Centered Learning Conference could you register in advance?
It makes my life SO much easier to be able to know in advance how many people to plan for. After all we always have a very nice free continental breakfast but if we don’t know how many people are coming we could run out of food!
Seriously, I know many people like to keep their options open –but if you think you are coming, advance registration is the way to go. You’ll save a little money too and hey, in this economy every little bit helps.
Here are the details:
When? Saturday July 25th
Featured Speaker: Rachel Watkins homeschooling mother of eleven, freelance writer and creator of The Little Flower Catholic Girl’s Club. She served on the board of the National Association of Catholic Home Educators (NACHE) for over twelve years. Rachel is a regular contributor on the Heart, Mind and Strength Weblog and she and her husband, Matt, are weekly contributors to the Heart Mind and Strength Radio broadcast. In their segment, “Life in the Big House,” they explore the joys and struggles of living large (large family, that is).
PLUS! MacBeth Derham homeschooling mother of four — ages 13-18. As a biology major and professional naturalist before the birth of her children, she worked as a field naturalist for a consortium of school districts on Long Island. While there she conducted school programs in marine biology, fresh water ecology, geology, astronomy, history, pioneering skills, ropes courses and seamanship. Her family has used the Charlotte Mason method since the oldest was in first grade. During her search for the ultimate curriculum, she wrote reviews for Mary Pride’s “Practical Homeschooling Magazine”, and her “Big Book of Home Learning”.
