Our Lady at the door
While searching for a printed panel of Our Lady of Guadalupe a while back I came across this curtain for sale at Wards. I knew I had to get it and I thought I had the perfect window for it. But when it arrived It didn’t look right in that window so I set it aside until I came up with a better idea. Two nights ago while lying in bed I realized that it would be perfect for our inner front door window - and so it is!
From the inside we get to see Our Lady from this view

and from the outside, visitors and passerby get to see this view

And what a joy to be greeted by her every time we come home

It’s beautiful, Michelle!
Oh, Michele, it’s gorgeous! (My 6yo dd, standing right next to me, also announced, “ooh, that’s pretty!” when she saw it.) Having lived in Belgium for almost 3 yrs now, I have become quite attached to lace. What a beautiful witness to have Our Lady greet everyone who comes to your door! God bless you!
That’s beautiful, Michelle! I especially love the second shot, where it looks like she’s coming to the door to open it.
Wow! She’s beautiful. I agree - how wonderful to have Our Lady greet all who come to your door. I’ve been “lurking” for a few weeks now. As a mother of five (ages 5 and under and expecting #6 this summer), it’s wonderful to see other large families. Your family is beautiful! :0)
That is beautiful … I have never come across a curtain like that!
What a wonderful find and a wonderful place to put it. Thank you for the pictures. They are lovely. God bless you.
What a beautiful curtain. It is a perfect fit for your door.
Oh, she’s lovely, Michele! I wish we had a glass door for a panel like that!
browsing your blog again reminded me that i need to measure our front window for one of these. i would love to be greeted by Our Lady when i arrive home from a sometimes frantic day of taxiing (if that’s even a word)
