". . . when we say that the Church is a family, we mean it quite literally. The Church is not a reflection of the reality that is "family"—quite the opposite. The family is a reflection of the reality that is the Church." -Fr. Robert Johansen

For a few days we had them all at home. We are blessed...

Block #2

Melanie has her block now so I can show the whole thing. AsI said in my previous post, Melanie wanted a cross block so, this is what I came up with.  It’s made from this pattern with a few modifications including size (thank you dear lady for doing the math for me!) You can see all of Melanie’s lovely cross blocks on the VQB Flickr site...

So...

Destroying the curse, He gave blessing; and damning death, He bestowed on us life everlasting. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. For from thou hast risen of Sun of justice, Christ our God. from The Divine Office – Matins (Morning Prayer) Women for...

Out of Touch

Our phone line is down which also means internet. The phone company can’t send someone out until Thursday so if you e-mail me please be patient.  I am periodically checking my e-mail on my laptop at Panera or other free wifi spots around but for the most part I am disconected.  Of course I have my cell so if you know my number and need me you can get me that way. Honestly I am rather enjoying this lack of...
