“If you bring money to Turkey Hill and give it to the big person they will give you...

No matter how many times I make these little shoes I always love them!
Yes, Pooh and Piglet are upside down to you and I but they will be right side up
when the wearer lifts his little feet to look at them. Tigger and Eeyore are on the back.
The Pooh fabric is a cotton from JAF (JoAnn Fabrics) and the inside is a heavy cotton knit.
I can’t say these are my absolute favorite since I’ve made so many...

For Today . . .
Outside my window . . . 19.2 °F -brrrrr! Trash trucks are rumbling and the sun is peeking through the clouds. It looks quite bare this time of year and I am longing for the blooms of spring.
I am thinking . . . about the day ahead and what needs to be done.
I am thankful for. . . the fact that my husband still has a job and that I can afford to buy my children shoes when they need them. ...

I thought this would be my year for finally getting to go to Washington DC and the March for Life. I’m not pregnant or nursing and my youngest child is two. But this year brought us two diabetic children and we didn’t feel the trip to the March would be the best choice for them health wise, so I am staying home again.
As I am home today my four youngest children I find myself recalling what it’s...

For Today. . .
Outside my window. . . a beautiful snowy cold evening.
I am thinking. . . about tomorrow’s RCIA talk on the Sacrament of Matrimony. I’ll be addressing the issues regarding the marital embrace.
I am thankful for. . . a warm home in this oh so cold weather we’ve been having lately.
From the schoolroom. . . A trip to the library tomorrow and watching inauguration coverage. This is...

A group of us gals are doing a long distance quilting bee and I’m up for January. I popped into the fabric store yesterday totally expecting to be picking out some lovely pastels. I didn’t have a set idea just yet but was pretty sure I wanted something that included pretty pinks, pale yellows and mint greens. What I chose in the end were these fabrics and combinations of mostly blue and...
