and I am addicted to sugar. Yes sugar. You know, the white processed stuff.
I have been addicted for quite some time –from childhood I am sure.
I know it’s bad for me and yet it calls to me. I hate it and I love it. It’s so deceptive. It promises happiness and doesn’t deliver.
Oh yes there’s that initial euphoria. The sweet satisfaction but then there’s also the...

Pardon the boring post title. I am tired and all cleverness has left my brain for the day.
So it seems yesterday was a teaser and summer has not arrived. Thanks be to God it was actually cool today! It was like someone turned on the AC outside. Very nice.
I told my walking partner tonight (AKA my 11yr. old daughter) that I would be perfectly happy with an entire summer of cool weather with oh maybe an...

Today is Tuesday. Except that it felt like Monday all day. A hot Monday at that since apparently the day after Memorial Day is the beginning of summer. Not really of course but the humidity arrived today so it may as well be. Yeah, it was hot. Here we go. Hair in a clip because I cannot stand it on my neck and now the inevitable jockeying to see how much we can take it before we need the AC on. ...

These were supposed the girl’s Easter dresses but Easter came early and with all the RCIA stuff I needed to do I got the dresses cut out but not made. I finished them Saturday.
.
The pattern is McCall’s 5309 but I modified it by adding sleeves. I also made the neckline straight across. The girls LOVE these dresses and the fit is great. The fabric is a linen so it wrinkles easily.

.Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and may the perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.
Amen.
May their souls and all the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
Amen.

Collect:
“O God who under a wonderful Sacrament hast left us a memorial of Thy Passion: grant us, we beseech Thee, so to venerate the sacred mysteries of Thy Body and Blood that we may ever feel within us the fruit of Redemption.”
Technically Thursday was the feast of Corpus Christi. Did you see the Papal Mass? Beautiful!
But of course most places have moved the feast to today. We attended mass...

Random thoughts and happenings:

-BEAUTIFUL day! Thank you Lord!
-Going over Latin prayers in preparation for the first local TLM this evening. SO exciting!
-Saturday morning cleaning. Can’t vacuum, Kirby is still in the shop. NEED to vacuum.

Soaking in the tub a few nights ago I had all sorts of different thoughts swirling in my head and I was thinking of blog posts I could write. Except that it all seemed so . . . random.
But life is like that isn’t it? Kinda random and all mixed up. Like walking into the bathroom upstairs and seeing graham crackers lying on the floor and thinking “why?”. Really I didn’t just make that up, I...

There’s a great article on Catholic Exchange today:
The World, the Flesh, and the Devil: Finding the Narrow Way in Prince Caspian
“The deadly peril of sin may seem a pretty dark theme for a PG-rated fantasy adventure film, and it surely goes beyond the intent of the author from whose book the film is adapted. But The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian would receive C.S. Lewis’ approval, I think,...
