Apparently. . .
my new theme doesn’t show up in Internet Explorer. Big surprise (not really). I’m a Firefox gal myself so I didn’t notice. Thanks for the heads up Steph.
I’ll see if there’s a fix for it but for those of you still on IE, how about trying Firefox ? It’s free and frankly WAY better than IE.
Edited to add: Fixed. OK I had to use a different template but at least it works.

Novus Ordo - although I am attracted to the TLM there isn’t one close and we are very active in our parish. My sincere hope and prayer is that the recent Motu Proprio will help reform the NO in the way Vatican II really intended.

3. If you had to apply a Catholic label to yourself, what would it be? Orthodox/Orthoprax I believe all that the Church teaches and live my life according to it. Really.

Not really. I like comments - I truly appreciate them but I don’t live for them and I understand that, like me, many people have time to read but not necessarily comment.
So now no one is going to leave me comments anymore are they? :( Wait I take that back - I LIVE for comments!!

What happened to fall?
It’s 90 degrees today. Today. 90 degrees. It’s October 8th and it’s 90 degrees. What happened to fall? It was here a few weeks ago - we dug out all the fall and winter clothes. And now it’s warm again– no it’s hot (did I mention it’s 90 degrees today?) and now we have a wealth of clothing lying about. Too many to fill the drawers but if we put the cool clothes away it will surely stay warm and if we put the warm clothes away it will surely become cold. What to do? I am tempted to grumble but I will instead try to smile and simply be thankful that we have such a plethora of clothes to wear and then I will accept that they will be all over the place until the weather decides to change and stay changed.
The hardest part isn’t the clothes though, the hardest part is that because it’s so dry (we desperately need rain) the leaves are going straight from green to brown. No beautiful yellows, oranges or reds . . just brown. How sad. But we are not abandoned. As it happens we have our beautiful Our Lady of Guadalupe rosebush to bring us color - and how!. That’s a picture I took yesterday of one of the buds. They are just heavenly! The children will be making rose petal bead chaplets this week at art class and they require fresh rose petals of which we have plenty. How lovely to know they will be making their beads from roses named for Our Lady! It seems very fitting doesn’t it?
Here’s a few pictures of my little rose bud. She had her major feast day on Friday — St. Maria Faustina. She celebrated with a few animals crackers - which she certainly enjoyed. Her latest thing is to say “hi” and wave hello - she especially does this for Daddy of whom she has grown particularly fond (after me of course!).
She’s such a sweetheart and we are all marveling at how fast she has grown. She’s been with me every day of her life and yet I cannot help but wonder how she got to be nearly a year old so quickly. The older I get the faster time flies.
Wait, did I just say I was old? That came out wrong. . .
This and that
My server made changes and in doing so all my blogs and web pages had errors in them. I spent the better part of Monday trying to fix them and in the end decided to combine my Learning blog and this blog. So if you aren’t interested in reading about our learning adventures just skip those posts.
Unfortunately the most recent posts of THIS blog were lost when I made the “fix”. It couldn’t be helped and it wasn’t my fault but it’s frustrating nonetheless.
So since I had to mess with things anyway I figured I’d change my template to something new. It gives me a boost and helps me to not feel so irritated that I have to repost what was lost (at least that’s what I keep telling myself).
Normally this would be my RCIA night but I am not feeling well as aren’t several of the kids so we’re taking it easy.
Life, as always, is busy but interesting too and I have some thoughts I want to share if I can find the time (which means time and quiet so I can think coherently) but that’s not going to be now. Maria is fussy. She’s been teething and really just needs to go to bed and so she shall…right after I hit the save button. Ta ta for now!
