And then guess what I got yesterday afternoon?
This BEAUTIFUL bag–handmade by my 7yr. old dd!
Isn’t it fabulous! Who needs an $80 Vera Bradley bag when...

This is fun. I’ve made my own hybrid sort of pattern for these. I’ll put it in a pdf file and post it soon.

I need a new bag. Iced of course.
There’s not much “school” happening at my house today. Everyone is gathered around the TV watching soccer. Everyone except me that is. The noise was getting to me so I retreated to my room to sew. . .and blog. Even the baby is enjoying the craziness – go figure!

at Lilac Hill farm with Viv and Donna (and kids)!
(And another picture intensive post that may be slow to load )
Viv invited us to come and watch the sheep get sheared. True we can see that here but it’s so much more fun traveling 2 hours to a friend’s beautiful farmette to see it!
And I got to come home with 2 trash bags full of wool fleece to wash, card and spin into yarn! ...

Are these cute or what?!
I started out with this shoe pattern but they were too big and just looked a little boyish and funny on babykins foot. So I played around with the pattern and shaped the foot (they are left and right specific now) to get these. They fit her perfectly and she wore them all day today without complaint.
This is only the first pair. I’m inspired now and I have several ideas for...
The veil was my own design. I got the silk flowers at A.C. Moore, added a wire to the back (wrapped it in ribbon) and made and attached the veil and side ribbons. It turned out beautiful and Maggie loved it. I don’t know what veils go for in the stores but total cost of this one was about $6 and 2 hours of time.
The dress was made 3 years ago For dd Mary’s 1st Communion. The pattern is...
