I wanted to share a picture of our Christmas tree. It was a gift from my dear friend Sally and her family. The day we had planned to go and get a tree was the day Tim’s father passed away. As it got closer to Christmas I didn’t know when we would find the time so I sent out a request to our local homeschool group that if anyone could pick us up a tree and I would gladly pay them for it.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers. The funeral was Wednesday and it truly was amazing. Of course there is a sadness at Dad’s passing but there is also so much hope and joy. What made me cry was the beauty of it all. The prayers, the songs (especially the song of farewell – oh I could almost see the holy souls coming to greet him!), the incense, all of it – every blessed thing.
