First of all let me make it clear that I am NOT a foodie. But I do cook…sometimes.
Homemade baked macaroni and cheese is a favorite here and the best I’ve ever had was made by my dear friend Kathy’s mother Dot Ressel. Dot was a wonderful, sweet lady who raised a large family and lived a beautiful full life. She’s enjoying her eternal reward now and this recipie is posted here in her...

What an excellent idea! Hat tip to Maureen over at Trinity Prep School.
There’s a new blog dedicated specifically to “devotional & practical dialogue while READING THE COMPLETE CCC IN ONE YEAR”
So, why a blog about the CCC? Well, as the blog itself says, “Despite the depth of wisdom within its pages, the essential practicality, its deep historicity and its surprising devotional aspect...

We firmly believe, and hence we hope that, just as Christ is truly risen from the dead and lives for ever, so after death the righteous will live for ever with the risen Christ and he will raise them up on the last day. Our resurrection, like his own, will be the work of the Most Holy Trinity:
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will give life...

Yes that’s right I have moved my blog AGAIN. It was really the prudent thing to do and this time it’s for keeps. I promise!:-)
Forgive me for being so bouncy dear friends and bookmark this link for good! And bear with me because I am still tweaking and this site will be changing over the next few weeks as I learn. I am finding I really do like WordPress. I was able to easily import all my posts AND...

When Jesus and his disciples drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples and said to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately on entering it, you will find a colt tethered on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone should say to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ reply, ‘The
Master has need of it and will send it...

Maggie is my nature lover. She plans to have a very large farm when she grows up and several horses, so she “won’t need a car”. Every time we drive somewhere she spends the entire trip gazing out the window and commenting.
Riding home from Irish dance class today she got very excited and declared “Oh look, a bird died there!” Since we were stopped at a red light both Mary and I...

I have thinking a lot about mortification lately, and this beautiful entry over at Castle of the Immaculate got me thinking more about it this morning. This is the season for it after all and as we approach holy week it looms even larger in my mind. So while riding in the car with my dh the other day I had a startling and admittedly happy realization. The realization that because I am pregnant I am not obliged to...

I made a joke last week about either having spring cleaning fever or being pregnant because I came home from Memphis and cleaned my kitchen from top to bottom. Well it may be spring cleaning fever but as it turns out, I am pregnant! It wasn’t planned but it’s certainly welcomed. The funny part is that we found out on April 1st and all the children (except the oldest – clever man) thought it was...
