An easy way to support the pro-life cause!
This is awesome! Hat tip to Danielle Bean
ProLifeSearch.com is the “Web’s First Pro-Life Search Engine.”™ Search the Web just like you would with Yahoo or Google. They donate money to Pro-Life charities, and you will never have to donate any of your own money.
ProLifeSearch.com is a privately-held company in Chicago, Illinois, founded and managed by Jack Manhire and Joe Hanley, “two guys who both try hard everyday to be the good Catholic boys their mothers always hoped they’d be.”
Here’s how it works:
1. You use ProLifeSearch.com for searching, news, shopping, information, and other regular Internet activity.
2. Revenue generated from user activity is donated to approved pro-life charities.
3. You do not have to register to use ProLifeSearch.com, but if you choose to register you will have the chance for your donations to be made in your name, or the name/honor/memory of someone special to you.
So what are these Sponsored Links? These are paid advertisements.
Revenue from advertisers is how they generate money for pro-life donations.
What’s the catch? There is no catch and there are no strings: you don’t have to donate any of your own money.
What a great idea! I know I’ll be using this as my search page from now on.
Anthony’s special day!
I wanted to post this last week but just now figured out how to get video up here. This is Anthony (in the red tie) getting his 15 seconds of fame when he got to perform with the world class Trinity Irish Dance Company , at the Strand-Capital Performing Arts Centre, last Wednesday evening. He did great - and best of all he had a great time! Trinity was awesome - truly top notch! If you can’t see the video you may need to update to Macromedia Flash Player 8
Morning tea
I’m up early working on my next planner project and enjoying a pot of tea while it’s still quiet. It’s looks to be a full day ahead. My dh has been suffering for months with a herniated disk. He’s had physical therapy, massage, and chiropractic care all to no avail. Today he is having steroid injections in the hopes that he can avoid surgery. Add to that a stomach virus has been raging through our home since Saturday morning. I thought we were finished with that yesterday but this morning two more kids are “praying to the porcelain god” and so it seems we are indeed not finished. If you think of it, throw a few prayers our way - we could use them.
One of our own! Olympic hopeful Rebecca Dussault
Catholic wife and mother Rebbecca Dussault will be racing for gold this month. She will compete in the cross-country skiing competitions, which take place from the 12th through the 26th of February in the small mountain-town of Pragelato, Italy. Check out her website and read how this woman’s Catholic faith is at the forefront of everything she does. She writes, “I would be remiss if I didn’t share with all of you my truest love of all, the Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church. My faith is the most important thing in my life. It is the only thing which I cannot be parted from and what gives me daily hope. He is the lover of my soul and my secret hiding place. I will be restless until I rest in Him.”
She lists her ambitions as:
- To live heroic virtue and become a Saint
- Have several more children and educate them at home
- Become an oblate of the community of St. John
- Become a midwife
- Own a small farm/ranch
- Grow and shoot my own food. Live nearly self-sustained
- Learn to knit and sew
Well we’re praying for you Rebbecca. You go girl!
You can read regular updates from Rebecca at her online Olympic journal.
