10 Random Facts Meme
The Bookworm tagged me a while ago but I haven’t responded until now. I’m still not sure who cares to read 10 random facts about me but here goes:
1. I have a talent for parallel parking - really, I’m better at it than even my dh.
2. I have an irrational, unrelated to any event I know of, fear of unguarded railroad crossings. I’ll drive over them but it kind of freaks me out.
3. I got braces on my teeth when I was 31 and begged my orthodontist to take them off before I went to Rome the next year. He did.
4. I went to Rome in the Jubilee year. It was awesome!
5. I don’t wear my retainer.
6. It doesn’t fit anymore.
7. I use to be so thin people thought I was anorexic. No one thinks that anymore.
8. When I was about 10 years old my sister Missy tried to convince me she was really Isis. I didn’t believe her.
9. When I was about 5 or 6 I wrote my sister Melanie’s name on my mom’s ironing board cover with permanent marker. I did it so well my mom didn’t believe Mel didn’t do it, so she got in trouble and I didn’t. Sorry Mel. ![]()
10. I love to run. I use to hate it but now I love it and can’t wait to get back to it after having this baby.
There. Totally random. Weird.

I do. I still care to read your list.. it’s interesting and funny (#9). Who wouldn’t want to read the list of a mom who is so clever and talented to co-create an entire curriculum, run a business selling the fantastic planner that I use EVERYDAY {{{thank you!}}}, has raised a son who will be a priest in a few short years, who is expecting her tenth child and is a beautiful wife, mother and outstanding witness for the Gospel?
Blessings!
Me too . I don’t have the railway crossing fear, but I am terrified of parking barriers (you know, the one armed things that go up and down). I do the nearest thing to ducking and running that is possible in a car. I am also way better than dh at parallel parking, though given that he won’t do it at all that is not difficult! The system is he leaps out of car, I shuffle into driver’s seat and do the parking bit.
I’d never heard of the show Isis, I don’t know if I would have believed my sis either!
Michele, your list is great. The funny thing is that as I was reading it, my husband started reading over my shoulder. Of course, it was right at the moment when I had clicked on the Isis link. He said, “I thought you said these homeschool blogs give you ideas for school.” LOL! I recovered well though…”But this is the woman who co-created the Catholic Charlotte Mason curriculum!” I think he believed me.
Very random, but interesting. My sister worked in an orthodontist office would disapprove of you not wearing your retainer. I got braces at age 32, and got them off before my wedding a year later.
We watched Isis, and my one sister and I played Wonder Woman and Isis…I was Isis.
We all care about anything you have to say, Michele! Thanks for the list!
